Mandatory disclosures
Legal notice and company details
EDIL NOZZI S.R.L. is a building contractor based in Torrevecchia Teatina (CH), Abruzzo, and is the company that operates edilnozzi.it. This page sets out how the company is identified in the Italian registers, how it relates to the practice of Ing. Ivan Nozzi, and what the content published here does and does not commit us to.
Why this page exists
EDIL NOZZI S.R.L. publishes on this page the information that the operator of a website must make easily, directly and permanently accessible under art. 7, paragraph 1, of Italian legislative decree D.Lgs 70/2003 on electronic commerce, which implements Directive 2000/31/EC. The same identification details appear in the footer of every page of the site.
The site is published by the company itself. It carries no advertising, no members-only area, no online sales and no paid services: its job is to describe the work we carry out and the way we run it, and to receive enquiries through the form on the contact page.
How we handle the personal data of visitors and of anyone who sends an enquiry is set out in the privacy notice. Cookies and comparable technologies are covered on their own page.

Two separate roles
The relationship with Ing. Ivan Nozzi
EDIL NOZZI S.R.L. is a building contractor: we carry out the works. The design, the direzione dei lavori (site supervision, exercised on the client's behalf) and the permit filings are a separate professional appointment, held by the client with a qualified technician of the client's own choosing. They are not services the contractor offers, or is allowed to offer.
Ing. Ivan Nozzi (VAT 02717680694, Ordine degli Ingegneri della Provincia di Chieti — Sezione A, civil and environmental, no. 2489) practises independently from the same address. The contractor and the engineering practice are separate legal persons, with separate VAT numbers, separate contracts and separate liability.
The two cooperate often, but engaging one places no obligation whatsoever to engage the other, in either direction. Nothing on this site should be read as an offer of services reserved by Italian law to a professional entered on a statutory register.
Content, external links and rights
The content EDIL NOZZI S.R.L. publishes on edilnozzi.it is informational and does not constitute an offer to the public within the meaning of art. 1336 of the Italian civil code. The descriptions of the works explain what a given job generally involves; they do not commit the company to a scope, a price or a completion time.
Scope, sums and timing come only after a site visit and a computo metrico (an itemised bill of quantities), are written into the quote, and become binding when both parties sign the contract. Anything not written in those documents is not included.
We keep the information as current as we reasonably can, but rules, municipal practice and material prices all change. We do not warrant that every page is complete or up to date at any given moment, and nothing here replaces a qualified technician assessing the actual building.
The site links to sites operated by third parties. Those sites are outside our control, and we are not responsible for their content or for what they do with data collected there: a link points at a source, it does not adopt what the source says.
The texts, structure, layout and graphic design of this site are protected under Italian copyright law (legge 633/1941). Reproduction, including in part, requires written permission, save for quotation with attribution. The images on the site are graphic placeholders: none of them shows a site worked on by the company.
If something goes wrong
Complaints and dispute resolution
A complaint against EDIL NOZZI S.R.L. should be made in writing, so that there is a date and a text to work from. You can use the form on the contact page, send a registered letter to the registered office at Via Torre 168, 66010 Torrevecchia Teatina (CH), Italy, or write to the PEC address where a communication with legal effect is needed. We reply in writing and, where the complaint concerns a site, by inspecting the work together with you.
The protections Italian law already gives the client of a building contract apply in full: art. 1667 of the civil code covers the contractor's liability for defects and departures from the agreed works, with the notice and limitation periods it sets out, and art. 1669 covers ten-year liability for serious defects affecting the structure or the fitness for use of the building. These follow from the law itself; they are not something we grant.
Where direct discussion does not settle the matter, a client acting as a consumer may use the civil and commercial mediation procedure governed by D.Lgs 28/2010, before a body listed on the register held by the Italian Ministry of Justice. In the subjects listed in art. 5 of that decree, attempting mediation is a precondition for bringing court proceedings; in all others it is voluntary and open to the parties at any point.
In disputes with a consumer, the competent court is the one for the place where the consumer resides or has elected domicile, as required by the Italian consumer code (D.Lgs 206/2005). Italian law governs the relationship.
